The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Freeze Warning, which is in effect from 11 PM this evening to 11 AM EDT Wednesday.
* Temperatures...Lower to mid 20s across North Georgia with mid 20s to lower 30s across Central Georgia.
* Locations...North and Central Georgia.
* Winds...Northwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts to near 30 mph. Wind gusts of 35 to 40 mph are possible in the higher elevations of the mountains.
* Timing...Mid-morning through early evening today for the Wind Advisory. Late this evening through late Wednesday morning for the Freeze Warning.
* Impacts...Strong winds will bring down large tree limbs and possibly some weaker trees, especially with the saturated soils. Unsecured outdoor items may be blown around. The freezing temperatures will threaten any vegetation that has budded early due to the warm winter we have been experiencing.
