Hockley County Sheriff's Office calls for service and activities for 3/10/17 through 3/13/17.

Good Tuesday morning. The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Friday, 3/10/17, through Sunday, 3/13/17.

3/10/17

-3500 blk N. Hwy 385, Whitharral: Vehicle Crash. Deputies assisted on the scene of a single vehicle crash north of Whitharral. Both occupants were transported to the hospital, and one was later taken to Lubbock due to injuries. The scene was worked by THP Troopers.

-3900 blk Alaska Rd, Levelland: Disturbance. Deputies were dispatched to a disturbance at a residence in the area. After speaking with all parties it was determined to be verbal only and no offenses were reported. Parties were separated for the night.

-3500 blk Black Gold Rd, Levelland: Driving While Intoxicated. A deputy conducted a motor vehicle stop following a call about a reckless driver in the area. At the conclusion of the investigation, the driver was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd Offense or More, and transported to the jail to be booked on the charge. Toxicology results are pending.

3/11/17

-1310 Avenue H, Levelland: Civil Issue. A deputy was dispatched to call a complainant regarding a civil matter. Civil remedies were advised to the caller.

3/12/17

-300 blk Maurer, Anton: Warrant Arrest. A deputy responded to an address in the area related to a civil matter. One of the parties had active warrants and was arrested. The individual was transported to the jail and released to jail staff without incident.

-2300 blk Sunrise Ln, Levelland: Animal Complaint. Deputies were dispatched to a reported animal fight.

-3500 blk Justin Rd, Levelland: Assist EMS. A deputy responded to a call about and individual needing assistance. EMS arrived and transported one person to the hospital for treatment.

-6800 blk Parrot Rd, Ropesville: Alarm. Deputies responded to an alarm call at a business in the area. It was determined to be a false alarm and no issues were reported.

-400 blk E. Jackson, Levelland: Assist Levelland PD. Deputies assisted Levelland officers on a call for service in the area. One individual was arrested for multiple charges and transported to the jail by PD officers.

3/13/17

-1310 Avenue H, LEC: Death Report. Deputies responded to the jail related to a reported inmate death. Texas Rangers were notified and an autopsy is scheduled. More information will be released when available.

-2300 blk Sunrise Ln, Levelland: Criminal Mischief. A deputy took a report related to criminal mischief after a homeowner in the area discovered a window had been damaged by someone shooting a BB gun. A report was taken.

-700 blk Moreno, Anton: Assist EMS. A deputy responded to assist with an individual having difficulty breathing. One individual was transported to an area hospital by EMS.

-1200 blk College Ave, Levelland: Warrant Service. Levelland PD officers and deputies observed an individual with active warrants at an area business. One individual was taken into custody without incident and transported to the jail.

-4900 blk East Cactus, Levelland: Civil Issue. A deputy met with individuals regarding a property dispute between neighbors. Civil remedies were advised and both parties agreed to work the issues out.

-100 blk S. Alamo Rd, Levelland: Civil Standby. A deputy met with an individual regarding a property dispute. Parties were contacted and civil remedies were advised.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in areas of the county, investigative follow-up activities, and civil process service.

Jail population as of 3/14/17 at 0800 hours: 54 in Hockley County, 7 to be processed, and 16 out-of-county.
