...Winter Storm Gradually Winding Down This Afternoon... ...BLIZZARD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* Locations...Interior portions of Northeast New Jersey, the Lower Hudson Valley, and Southwestern Connecticut.

* Hazard Types...Snow and Sleet Tapering Off. Blowing Snow.

* Snow and Sleet Accumulations...Another 1 to 2 inches early this afternoon with totals of 10 to 16 inches. Some locally higher amounts.

* Timing...Accumulating snow will end by mid to late afternoon.

* Impacts...Dangerous travel.

* Winds...North 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* Temperatures...In the mid 20s.

* Visibilities...One quarter mile or less at times.

* AFFECTED AREAS: EASTERN PASSAIC ... WESTERN BERGEN ... WESTERN ESSEX ... WESTERN PASSAIC ... WESTERN UNION
