The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Freeze Warning, which is in effect from 11 PM EDT this evening to 11 AM EDT Thursday. A Freeze Warning is also in effect from 9 PM Wednesday to 10 AM EDT Thursday.
* Locations...North and Central Georgia.
* Temperatures...20 to 25 across North Georgia and 25 to 32 across Central Georgia both nights.
* Winds...Northwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts to near 30 mph. Wind gusts of 35 to 40 mph are possible in the higher elevations.
* Impacts...Strong winds will bring down large tree limbs and possibly some weaker trees, especially with the saturated soils. Unsecured outdoor items may be blown around. The freezing temperatures will threaten any or sensitive plants or agricultural crops that has budded early due to the recent warm conditions this winter.
