Marion Woman Arrested on Numerous Charges after Vehicle Pursuit
Grant County – Last night an approximately five minute vehicle pursuit led to the arrest of Tiffany Riddle, 27, Marion, IN. Riddle was incarcerated in the Grant County Jail to face criminal charges for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, driving on a suspended operator’s license, and unauthorized control of a vehicle.
Last night at approximately 7:35 p.m., Indiana State Trooper Mario Cruz was on routine patrol when he initiated a traffic stop on a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck for an unsafe lane movement and speeding on Monroe Pike near Stone Road, in Grant County. The driver of the Chevrolet, later identified as Riddle, initially stopped. She then drove off, leading Trooper Cruz on an approximately five minute vehicle pursuit. Officers from the Marion Police Department and the Grant County Sheriff’s Department assisted Trooper Cruz in pursuit of the Silverado. The pursuit ended after Riddle stopped the truck in a driveway at 1302 South Grant County Road 525 East. Riddle initially refused to get out of the truck. After approximately 50 minutes, officers were able to convince her to exit the vehicle. She was taken into custody without further incident.
Further investigation revealed she was allegedly driving while intoxicated. She also had warrants for her arrest issued out of Wells, Grant, and Howard Counties.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
