Numerous Neighborhood Complaints Result in Two Arrests for Illicit Drugs
Vigo County—This afternoon around 1:00, Indiana State Police troopers from the Putnamville District Meth Suppression Team, arrived at a residence at 2800 South 27th in Terre Haute, to investigate numerous complaints from area residents about possible drug activity. During initial conversations with the occupants, troopers immediately noticed what appeared to be the smell of burnt marijuana inside the residence. Troopers detained the occupants and secured the residence while applying for a Vigo County Superior Court search warrant.
Once the warrant was obtained, a search of the residence yielded approximately seventeen grams of suspected cocaine, approximately three grams of heroin, approximately three grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, approximately two grams of marijuana, prescription pills, handgun, and many items of paraphernalia such as syringes, scales, smoking pipes, etc.
35-year-old Shane David Moore of Terre Haute, IN. was incarcerated in the Vigo County on charges of: Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Syringes, Dealing Methamphetamine, Possession of a Scheduled IV Controlled Substance, Dealing Cocaine, Felon in Possession of Handgun, Maintaining a Common Nuisance and Possession of Paraphernalia.
19-year-old Victoria Summer Majko of Bloomington, IN. attempted to flee the residence on foot and was quickly taken into custody after a brief chase and incarcerated in the Vigo County Jail. Majko’s charges were Possession of Methamphetamine, Resisting Law Enforcement, Visiting a Common Nuisance, and an outstanding warrant for battery from Monroe County Indiana.
Pictures are from the scene.
Several area residents reported substantial vehicular and foot traffic in and around the residence and the porch light would often change colors and times of use, most likely alerting potential buyers or users about the availability of illicit drugs.
