Good Friday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for 3/16/2017.

-3200 blk FM 2130, Anton: Alarm. Deputies responded to a reported residential alarm in the area. The property was checked and no issues were located.

-800 blk Veretto Rd, Levelland: Fire. Deputies responded to assist with a reported structure fire in the area. Levelland Fire Department responded and deputies assisted as needed. An information report was completed related to the incident.

-700 blk Carson, Ropesville: Reckless Driver. A deputy was dispatched to attempt to locate a reckless driver in the area. The individual was located and was advised of the laws related to ATV use.

-Hwy 385 at FM 1294, Levelland: Fire. Deputies were dispatched to assist with a fire in the area. Deputies advised the residents that a burn ban was in effect. The fire department also responded to assist.

-FM 2646 at Coyote Rd, Levelland: Fire. Deputies were dispatched to a fire in the area. Fire officials dealt with the fire prior to arrival of deputies.

Deputies conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in areas of the county, civil process service, and investigative follow-up activities.

Jail population as of 3/17/2017 at 0800 hours: 50 in Hockley County, 4 to be processed, 18 out-of-county.
