Deputies arrest a 17 year old male for the sexual assault of a 14 year old girl

SUMMARY:
On Wednesday, March 15, 2017, the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station received a call for service reporting a rape that occurred on Saturday, March 11th at a residence in Big Bear Lake. Deputies of the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station made contact with involved parties and witnesses, and a thorough investigation was conducted. Through the investigation, it was determined that a 17-year-old male performed sexual acts on a 14-year-old female against her will.
The male juvenile was taken into custody and arrested on felony charges of rape by force and sodomy with a person under the age of 18 years old. The suspect remains in custody, pending the District Attorney’s Office review of the report for potential filing of criminal charges.
