Couple Arrested after Drugs Found in Rural Home
Vigo County—Around 10:30 this morning, Indiana State Police troopers from the Putnamville District Meth Suppression Team, arrived at a residence at 4521 East Rio Grande Avenue to investigate possible illegal drug activity. During a search of the home, troopers located approximately (40) grams of suspected marijuana, approximately ½ gram of suspected methamphetamine, and two firearms.
Lawrence R. Mickelson, age 35, of the address, was arrested and incarcerated in the Vigo County Jail on preliminary charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Neglect of a Dependent, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
Amanda Kay Folts, age 30, of the address, was arrested and incarcerated in the Vigo County Jail on preliminary charges of Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

Under the Law, criminal charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
