DUI Checkpoint had 114 Vehicles Pass Though in Two Hour Span

The Indiana State Police out of the Lafayette Post along with assistance from West Lafayette Police Department, Lafayette Police Department and Purdue Police Department conducted a DUI checkpoint in W. Lafayette yesterday evening. The joint operation checked 114 vehicles and the results are listed below:

• One DUI Arrest
• One Criminal Arrest
• Three Traffic Arrests

The Indiana State Police along with other police agencies use checkpoints and saturation patrols to help deter drunk and impaired driving. The Indiana State Police have a zero tolerance for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Always have a designated driver whenever you go out on the town.

We want to again thank the West Lafayette Police Department, Purdue Police Department and Lafayette Police Department for assisting with the checkpoint.
