Uniondale Man Injured Last Night in Huntington County Crash
(Huntington County, IN)-The Indiana State Police investigated a single vehicle crash last night which sent a man from Uniondale to the hospital with minor injuries.
According to Trooper David Kewish, a 1992 Chevrolet van driven by 58 year old Karl M. Ramsey was traveling eastbound on US 24 approaching a curve near Old US 24. Ramsey purportedly looked down at his cell phone and failed to negotiate the curve.
Ramsey's vehicle went over an embankment and down into a culvert coming to rest vertically, with the back end of the van up in the air. Ramsey, who was seatbelted at the time, was transported to Parkview Huntington Hospital with minor injuries. He was released a short time later.
Kewish was assisted at the scene by the Huntington Police Department, the Huntington County Sheriff Department, the Huntington Fire Department and Parkview Huntington EMS.
