Hockley County Sheriff's Office calls for service and activities for 3/17/17 through 3/19/17.

Good Monday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Friday, 3/17/17, through Sunday, 3/19/17.

3/17/17

-900 blk Robin Rd, Levelland: Disturbance. Deputies responded to a reported verbal disturbance at a residence in the area. All parties stated no offenses occurred.

-3100 blk Owl Rd, Smyer: Suspicious Vehicle. A property owner reported a suspicious vehicle on property in the area. A description was provided and the area was searched, but the vehicle had left the area. The property was placed on a close patrol for the remainder of the night.

-300 blk E. Washington, Levelland: A deputy assisted Levelland officers with a traffic contact and transported one individual to the LEC.

-6400 blk E. Hwy 114, Smyer: Vehicle Crash. Deputies responded to a one vehicle crash along Hwy 114. EMS and THP troopers arrived on scene and it was released to troopers.

-1800 blk N. Hwy 385, Levelland: Alarm. A deputy responded to a residential alarm in the area. The property was checked and it was determined to be a false alarm.

-3900 bk Sunrise Ln, Levelland: Civil Issue. A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the area related to a civil issue between a husband and wife. Civil remedies were advised.

3/18/17

-FM 301 at Kelly Rd, Levelland: Loose Livestock. A deputy responded to the area related to a complaint of loose livestock. The area was searched and none were located. Deputies also checked the area of FM 300 and Kelly Rd.

-700 blk Caribou Rd, Levelland: Disturbance. Deputies responded to a residence related to a disturbance between two individuals. After meeting with all parties, no offenses were reported and parties were separated.

-800 blk Veretto Rd, Levelland: Juvenile Issue. Deputies responded to a reported juvenile issue at a residence. Civil remedies were advised to the complainant.

-1700 blk Avenue I, Levelland: Assist Levelland PD. Deputies responded to a call to assist Levelland officers. Deputies met with parties about a possible burglary offense. After meeting with all parties it was determined not to be a burglary offense, and no offenses were reported.

3/19/17

-200 blk south Plains St, Ropesville: Disturbance. Deputies were dispatched to a reported disturbance in the area. It was determined to be verbal, and no offenses were reported.

-100 blk Mandy Circle, Opdyke West: Noise Complaint. Deputies were dispatched to a noise complaint in the area. The area was checked and no violations were observed.
-200 blk Oak, Levelland: Assist Levelland PD. Deputies responded to assist Levelland officers with a disturbance in the area. Multiple individuals were arrested at the scene and transported to the jail.

-100 blk Mandy Circle, Opdyke West: Child Custody Issue. Deputies were dispatched to meet with an individual regarding a child custody matter. Civil remedies were advised and information was collected.

-500 blk Travis, Levelland: Civil Issue. Deputies responded to assist with a civil issue at a residence in the area.

-2600 blk Robert Lee, Levelland: Theft. A deputy responded to a residence related a theft report. A homeowner reported unknown individuals removed several items from the property. A report was taken and the investigation is pending.

-6500 blk Steer Rd, Ropesville: Disturbance. Deputies responded to a reported disturbance at a residence. On arrival, the complainant stated the other party left the area and the disturbance was verbal only. No offenses were reported.

-US 62/82 at FM 41, Ropesville: Reckless Driver. A deputy checked the area related to a reported reckless driver. The vehicle was not located.

-2300 blk E. Ellis, Levelland: Disturbance. Deputies responded to a reported complaint between a landlord and tenant. Civil remedies were advised and parties were separated. No offenses were reported.

-100 blk Lawrence, Anton: Disturbance. A deputy was dispatched to a verbal disturbance at a residence. The deputy met with the complainant and was advised the other party left the residence. No offenses were reported.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches , patrols in the county, civil process service, investigative follow-up activities, and traffic enforcement.

Jail population as of 3/20/2017 at 0800 hours: 59 in Hockley County, and 15 out-of-county.
