Bremen Post to Conduct Sobriety Checkpoint in Marshall County

Marshall County – The Indiana State Police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint in Marshall County during the evening hours of Friday, March 24, 2017. The checkpoint is in conjunction with the Operation Pull Over Period Blitz #89, “Dangerous Driving”.

The Indiana State Police has partnered with approximately 250 law enforcement agencies statewide for the annual Operation Pull Over campaign that began March 3 runs through March 26.

Troopers from the Bremen Post will be conducting high visibility enforcement efforts including sobriety check points and saturation patrols looking for impaired motorists and dangerous drivers.

Motorists are asked to have their driver’s license and vehicle registration available when entering a checkpoint. This will help minimize the amount of time spent at the checkpoint. Motorists can expect short delays of only two to three minutes.

The Indiana State Police are committed to traffic safety and will continue to conduct saturation patrols and sobriety checkpoints to apprehend impaired drivers and to deter others from drinking and driving, commented Sergeant Ryan Lebo.

The public is encouraged to call 911 or the closest Indiana State Police Post when they observe another motorist that may be impaired. Be prepared to give a description of the vehicle, location and direction of travel.
