Good Tuesday afternoon! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for 3/20/17.

-Hwy 114 at Veretto Rd, Levelland: Deputies contacted two juveniles walking along Hwy 114. It was later determined that one of the juveniles was reported as a runaway earlier in the morning. The juvenile was returned to family members after being transported to the LEC.

-FM 1585 at Drillstem Rd, Levelland: Deputies were dispatched to attempt to locate a female in the area. They were later advised the female was picked up and said to have been transported to an area hospital. The female was not located in the area, nor at any area hospitals, and no offenses were reported to deputies.

-800 blk FM 168, Smyer: Suspicious Vehicle. A deputy was dispatched to meet with a complainant regarding a white pickup truck parked near the residence. When the complainant attempted to contact the driver the vehicle left the area. The information was collected and passed on to other law enforcement personnel to watch the area.

-2300 blk E. Ellis, Levelland: Civil Issue. A deputy was requested to respond to assist with a civil matter between a tenant and landlord. Civil remedies were advised.

-Hwy 385 at FM 301, Sundown: Reckless Driver. A deputy was dispatched to check the area for a reckless driver. The area was searched and the vehicle was not located.

-600 blk Park, Sundown: Civil Issue. A deputy was requested to meet with individuals related to a civil matter. Remedies were advised.

-800 blk Hwy 385, Levelland: Suspicious Activity. A deputy met with a complainant regarding unknown individuals knowing on the residence door. Information was collected and the area was patrolled throughout the remainder of the shift.

-1400 blk York, Sundown: Controlled Burn. Deputies assisted Sundown officers locate a possible fire in the area. It was determined to be a controlled burn and the fire was extinguished.

-1800 blk FM 300, Levelland: Vehicle Crash. Deputies assisted THP troopers with a minor vehicle crash in the area. The scene was taken over by troopers.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in areas of the county, civil process service, and investigative follow up activities.
