Please click on the attached link for information regarding new security measures at the County Admin Center.
As previously discussed, effective March 27, 2017, several planned security measures are being implemented. This will affect the public and county employees.
The public will be required to submit to a security screening process when entering the County Administrative Center. All visitors will be required to pass through the metal detector and all personal belongings will be x-rayed for prohibited items. Please be sure to notify the public to allow extra time for any business needs within the building. Everyone entering the south doors located on the first floor will be required to submit to the security screening process, even employees displaying a County ID badge.
To maintain security, the east entrance will be secured, preventing all entry and only allowing exit during an emergency.
A door and access card reader has been added between The Garden Spot Café and the rotunda at the north entrance to allow employees access to and return from the café. Please remind your staff to not allow the public to follow them through this secure point of entry. All visitors to the building are required to pass through the south entrance for security screening.
County employees, employed within the County Administrative Center, should enter through the 2nd floor south entrance using their employee access cards.
Employees are required to wear their ID badge at all times during the course of their work day.
Remember, the building can only be secured if employees are vigilant and follow all security measures. Suspicious activity or unlawful access should be reported to Security Services immediately by calling ext. 83076.
