Suspect fled on foot after vehicle pursuit. 
On March 23, 2017 at 1507 hours, a Sebastopol Police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop in the area of McKinley Street and Laguna Park way in Sebastopol. The vehicle, a white 2005 Chevrolet Malibu driven by a male, continued to drive east bound on McKinley failing to yield to officer’s emergency lights.
The suspect pulled into a parking lot where he had no room to continue evading the officer. The suspect exited the vehicle and fled the area on foot, refusing the officers commands to stop. A foot pursuit was initiated and additional officers from the Sebastopol Police Department and Sonoma County Sheriff responded to assist in the search. Sonoma County Sheriff was also able to deploy their helicopter, Henry 1, to assist officers in their search for the suspect.
After an hour long search of the area was conducted, the search was called off. The suspect was last seen west bound on Palm Ave, near Petaluma Ave.
The suspect was a black male, in his early 20s, tall and thin build with dreadlocks last seen wearing all red clothing.
