Evansville Woman Arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Drugs
Vanderburgh County – Yesterday evening at approximately 6:10, Trooper Brent Gramig stopped the driver of a 1985 Ford LTD for driving left of center on West Tennessee Street near North 3rd Avenue. The driver was identified as Mary Ghormley, 52, of Evansville. While talking to the driver Gramig observed signs of impairment. Field sobriety tests indicated impairment. Ghormley was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital where further investigation revealed she was under the influence of marijuana, methamphetamine and benzodiazepine. She was arrested and taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail where she is currently being held without bond.
