INCIDENT: PC 215 - Car Jacking PC 245- Assault with a Deadly Weapon, VC10851 Grand Theft Auto

LOCATION: 35000 block of Birch Road, Lenwood

SUSPECT(S): Alejandro Martinez, 29 year old resident of Barstow

VICTIM(S): Confidential


SUMMARY: On March 5, 2017 at about 5:00pm, Alejando Martinez went to the victim's residence, pointed a gun at the victim and demanded to be driven to the 35000 block of Birch Road. The victim, in fear for his life, complied with Martinez' demands. Once at the Birch Road address, Martinez forced the victim to exit the car and go with him to speak to the resident. After a 10 minute conversation, Martinez forced the victim back into the car and demanded the victim drive him to an unknown location. Moments later, Martinez ordered the victim out of the car. Martinez left in the victim's car and warned not to call the police or he would return to hurt the victim or the victim's family.

Deputies learned Martinez was also wanted in connection with a vehicle theft from February 22, 2017. In that case, Martinez stole a car from an acquaintance in the 33000 block of C Street, in Daggett.

On March 21, 2017, Apple Valley Police discovered Martinez was staying at a residence in the 21000 block of Minnetonka Road. Apple Valley Police Deputies and the Specialized Enforcement Division responded to the residence and arrested Martinez, he was a booked for Car Jacking, Grand Theft Auto, Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Parole Violation.
