On February 20th, 2017, Jonah Hwang (8 year-old Pomona resident) was tragically murdered in a drive-by shooting in the 1100 block of W. Eleventh Street.
The Pomona Police Department's Homicide Unit has been actively investigating Jonah's murder since that day's events.
Today, the Police Department is announcing the arrest of a suspect in this case. 35 year old Sengchan Houl was arrested without incident in the unincorporated area of Pomona. He has been booked at the Pomona City Jail.
Detectives are still actively working this case and we are not releasing any additional information at this time.
Additional details will be released at a press conference scheduled for 1:00 PM on Monday, March 27th to the front of the Pomona Police Station.
