Second Arrest Made in Richmond Flatley Rd. Investigation
Richmond – A joint investigation between the Indiana State Police Meth Suppression Section and Indiana State Parole Agents led to the arrest of a second Richmond woman yesterday on a felony warrant, in connection with a home visit the agencies made last week.
The events that led to the additional charges started on Tuesday, 3/21 around 9 p.m. when troopers and parole agents went to a home at 2200 Flatley Rd., just north of Richmond. Officers went to the home on a tip that a man wanted on a felony parole violation warrant, Thomas Vanmeter age 23, was staying there.
While officers didn’t locate Thomas Vanmeter at the home, they did locate Methamphetamine, a controlled substance believed to be Suboxone, a marijuana grow operation and a stolen firearm. Department of Child Services personnel had to be summoned to the Flatley Road home during the investigation to remove five children.
As a result of the ongoing investigation a second Richmond woman, who was also at the home last Tuesday night, was arrested yesterday in Richmond on a felony warrant. Caylee Snyder age 19, was arrested on a warrant for one count of Neglect of a Dependent, Level 6 Felony and Visiting a Common Nuisance, misdemeanor. Snyder was incarcerated at the Wayne County Jail. The investigation is ongoing with further arrests possible.
While troopers have been receiving and following up on tips, they are still asking anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Thomas J. Vanmeter, age 23 of Richmond, to call the Pendleton State Police Post at 765-778-2121. Tips can be made and kept anonymous
