A state prison inmate placed on escape status after walking away from a minimum-security facility earlier this week is back in custody.
Inmate Robert Running Shield was arrested in Rapid City March 29. He is currently being housed at the Pennington County Jail.
Running Shield left the Rapid City Community Work Center without authorization March 27.
