Today, in the early morning of 3/30/17, Chula Vista Police were in the area of Castle Park High School searching for a suspect who ran from police. (The school is out of session for spring break).

At about 7:00 am Chula Vista Crimes of Violence Detectives were serving a search warrant in the 100 block of E. Rienstra. As police arrived two suspects fled on foot. One suspect was detained. The other is still outstanding. The outstanding suspect is Alex Astorga (29) who is wanted for felony charges. Astorga may be armed with a handgun. It is believed that Astorga may have left the area, however the investigation continues. Citizens in the area are asked to call police if you see Astorga. Do not approach or detain. If anyone knows Astorga's whereabouts they are asked to call (619) 691-5151, or 911 if it is urgent.
