We are currently under a Level 2 emergency due flooding. Please stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary. 
Flooding is occurring at the usual places in Vinton County. Please do not be on the roadway unless it is absolutely necessary. If you do have to be on the road, do not drive in high water. It is always better to turn around and stay alive. We will be monitoring the situation all day and will adjust the levels as necessary. Reminder- if you are driving on a closed Road and end up in high water, you will be issued a citation.
