Louisville Man Arrested for Possessing Methamphetamine
Vanderburgh County – Last night at approximately 10:00, Trooper Brock Werne observed a GMC Acadia leave the Tropicana parking lot and turn left onto NW 1st Avenue when only a right turn is allowed. The driver also failed to use his turn signal. Trooper Werne stopped the vehicle at NW 2nd Avenue and Sycamore. The driver was identified as Reginald W. Gerton, 31, of Louisville, KY. Further investigation revealed he was driving on a suspended driver’s license. An Indiana State Police K-9 alerted to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle. Troopers found a small amount of crystal meth on the floorboard between the door and driver’s seat. Gerton was arrested and taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail where he is currently being held without bond.
