BENTON, MISSOURI - Scott County Sheriff Wes Drury reports four subjects arrested on Drug Charges following a vehicle stop Friday night.
Hernandez Evans (22), Steve Thurman (32), and Quincy Hines (24) all of Charleston has been charged with the Class C Felony of Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
Emily Walter (35) of Sikeston has been charged with the Class C Felony of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Class E Felony of Introduction of a Controlled Substance in a Correctional Facility, and Class D Misdemeanor of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Sheriff Drury states that on Friday, March 31, 2017 at approximately 2351 hours Deputy Britton conducted a vehicle stop on St. Hwy HH near N. Ingram. During the stop Scott County K-9 Rex was deployed and positively alerted to the vehicle. During the search of the vehicle officers located two large plastic bags containing approximately 60 individual packages of Synthetic Marijuana. During the search of Walter at the Scott County Jail, officers located two plastic bags containing a crystal like substance weighing approximately 18 grams. The crystal like substance field tested positive for Methamphetamine.
All four subjects were arrested and transported to the Scott County Jail pending formal charges.
Hernandez Evans has been released on bond. Bond was set by the court at $25,000 cash or surety.
Emily Walter has been released on bond. Bond was set by the court at $5,000 cash or surety.
Steve Thurman has been released on bond. Bond was set by the court at $5,000 cash or surety.
Quincy Hines has been released on bond. Bond was set by the court at $5,000 cash or surety.
