Man Arrested for Robbery.

On Thursday, March 23, 2017 at approximately 2:15pm, Hope Mills Police Officers responded to Walmart on North Main Street in reference to a subject stealing merchandise and assaulting store personnel as they attempted to intervene in the theft. Upon arrival, Officers found the subject had already left the area and, the case was forwarded to the Hope Mills Police Department’s Detective Division for further Investigation. During the course of their investigation, Detectives found that Kyle Allen Fredrick Davis, 24, of the 5800 block of Columbine Road was responsible for the theft and obtained warrants for his arrest. On the morning of Monday, April 3, 2017, Investigators located Davis at his residence and took him into custody with the assistance of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office. Davis was transported to the Cumberland County Detention Center where he was jailed under a $7500.00 bond for the following charges:
