Washington Township Man Indicted for Burglary and Theft

READING PA MAN INDICTED FOR ASSAULTING A POLICE OFFICER
Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, announced the indictment of Roudy Jerome, age 24, of Reading, PA. On March 30, 2017, Mr. Jerome was indicted by a Hunterdon County Grand Jury for 3rd degree Resisting Arrest and 4th degree Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement.
On December 22, 2016, Mr. Jerome was stopped by a New Jersey State Trooper on Interstate 78, in Clinton Township, for a motor vehicle violation. After being placed under arrest for Possession of Marijuana, Mr. Jerome resisted arrest and physically assaulted the Trooper. Mr. Jerome was charged with Resisting Arrest and Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer. The Trooper was treated for minor injuries.
The filing of a criminal complaint is merely a step in the criminal justice process. The defendant is presumed innocent until the matter is resolved in a court of law.
