Southwest Modesto Shooting Leaves One Dead

Modesto, CA – Detectives are investigating the shooting death of a 25-year-old Modesto man in a southwest Modesto neighborhood.
At about 8:45 p.m. last night, officers responded to the 1000 block of Roselawn Avenue on reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found 25-year-old David Perez in the roadway suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Perez was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Detectives are actively working on piecing together the events that led to the shooting. At this time no suspects have been identified.
