Montgomery County-Today at approximately 2:45 p.m. on US 136 at the intersection of CR 125 west (that is just on the west edge of Crawfordsville), a three vehicle crash sent one to the hospital.
Preliminary investigation by Trooper Alaina Zloty has revealed that a silver 2006 Ford Explorer driven by Leslie N. Oaks, 24 of Crawfordsville was heading south when she stopped at the intersection of CR 125 west and US 136.. She failed to yield to a 2013 F-150 pickup driven by Harold G. Stockdale Jr, 72 of Waynetown, IN. After striking the pickup, it spun around striking a 2011 IC school bus owned by North Montgomery School Corporation and driven by Julie H. Steward, 46 of Crawfordsville.
There were 14 students on the bus and none received injuries. Oaks was not injured but Stockdale was transported with complaint of pain. All drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. The investigation is continuing.
Assisting at the scene was troopers from the ISP Lafayette Post, the Crawfordsville Police Department, Crawfordsville Fire Department, Montgomery County EMS and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department.
