Hockley County Sheriff's Office calls for service and activities for 4/4/17 through 4/6/17.

Good Friday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Tuesday, 4/4/17 through Thursday, 4/6/17.

4/4/17

-1900 blk Black Gold Rd, Levelland: Damage to Property. Deputies responded to a call regarding a wire spool that rolled off of a truck damaged a building in the area. A report is pending.

-Alamo Rd at Alaska Rd, Levelland: Suspicious Activity. A deputy responded to a call related to an open door at a residence in the area. The owner was contacted and advised there was no damage or offenses.

-Hwy 84 at FM 2130, Anton: Vehicle Crash. A deputy responded to a call about a crash on the highway. It was determined not to be a crash, but a disabled vehicle.

-100 blk Lincoln, Smyer: Check Welfare. A deputy was requested to locate several individuals at a residence in the area to check welfare. No specific address was provided. Deputies checked several residences in the area and did not locate the individuals.

-100 blk Hwy 114 Estates, Smyer: Criminal Trespass. A caller advised there were several individuals on the property who would not leave. The owner requested trespass warnings be issued. Two individuals were issued written criminal trespass warnings and advised of future consequences.

-6700 blk Colorado Rd, Smyer: Civil Complaint. A deputy contacted an individual regarding a possible civil matter. The individual was provided civil remedies for the issue. No criminal offenses were reported.

-100 blk Sandalwood, Levelland: Suspicious Activity. A deputy responded to a call regarding an unknown individual knocking on the back door of a residence in the area. The area was searched and no one was located.

-600 blk Justin Rd, Levelland: Civil Issue. A deputy spoke with a complainant regarding a matter involving the purchase of a vehicle. The issue was determined to be civil and remedies were advised.

4/5/17

-2300 blk Arizona Rd, Levelland: Warrant Service. Deputies located an individual wanted on a felony warrant at a residence in the area. The individual was taken into custody without incident and transported to the jail.

-4000 blk Leon Rd, Anton: Suspicious Activity. A deputy met with an individual regarding a possible online scam. A subject requested money though an online social site. Remedies were advised to the complainant.

-200 blk W. 8th St, Sundown: Assist Sundown PD. Deputies responded to assist Sundown officers with a subject who fled on foot. The individual was located and taken into custody. The suspect was transported to the jail and booked on several Sundown charges.

4/6/17

-200 blk Viola, Levelland: Theft of Service. A deputy met with a homeowner related to theft of service. The complainant advised a neighbor was stealing electricity. Contact was made with all parties and a report was taken related to the incident.

-Hwy 84 at FM 168, Anton: Stolen Vehicle. A complainant reported his vehicle stolen after it had become disabled on Hwy 84 near Anton. The complainant stated he left the vehicle along the highway for several hours and when he returned it was gone. A report was taken and the investigation is ongoing.

-1300 blk W. Washington, Levelland: Assist Levelland PD. Deputies responded to assist after a resident reported shots had been fired near the residence. Officers searched the area and no one was located.

-100 blk Carter, Sundown: Assist Sundown PD. Deputies responded to assist with a possible suicidal individual. The person agreed to be transported, and was taken to a hospital for evaluation by Sundown officers.

-6300 FM 41, Ropesville: 911 Hang-Up: A deputy was dispatched to a residence related to a hang-up call. The call was accidental, and no offenses were observed or reported.

Deputies also conducted investigative follow-up activities, civil process service, close patrols/vacation watches, and patrols in areas of the county.

Jail population as of 4/7/17 at 0800 hours: 49 in Hockley County, 8 to be processed, and 4 out-of-county.
