On Monday, April 10th 2017, at about 2:00 A.M., Anderson Police were dispatched to the area of Silver Street and Mill Street for a reported carjacking that had just occurred. Upon arrival, officer’s located the victim who was determined to be a 26 year old Redding resident. The victim told police that he had been parked in the 1900 block of School Street when he was approached by a white male dressed in black clothing.

The victim told police that the suspect male dressed in black clothing pointed a gun at him and demanded his keys. The suspect took the victims white, 2002, Honda, Civic and drove off in the vehicle eastbound toward State Hwy 273. Fortunately, the victim did not sustained injury as a result of the incident. Anderson Police are investigating the incident and the victim’s name is not being released due to his status as a victim.
