**UPDATE: CARJACKING SUSPECT IN CUSTODY** 
On Tuesday, April 11th 2017 at about 0548 hours, Anderson Police and Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a residence near Olinda Road and Lou Ann Lane in Anderson for a report of a subject prowling in the area.
Upon arrival, Anderson Police and Sheriff’s Deputies contacted 37 year old, Justin Lamar Raby hiding in a resident’s trailer. Upon surrounding the trailer, Raby surrendered to Anderson Police without further incident. Raby was the primary suspect in the April 10th carjacking of a white, 2002, Honda, Civic that was taken at gunpoint from a Redding man who was parked in the area of Silver Street and Mill Street in Anderson, California.
Raby was interviewed at APD and then booked at the Shasta County Jail on a variety of felonious charges including section 215(a) of the California Penal Code – Carjacking. Additional charges will be filed with the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office.
