FLORENCE AVENUE INTERCHANGE PROJECT
The week of April 16 crews will be performing CIDH (cast in drilled hole) work at night adjacent to the Florence Ave. bridge at Fairford Ave. Fairford Ave. may be closed intermittently, weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Sunday Night, April 16
•Northbound I-5 will be closed from Norwalk Blvd. to I-605, from 11:59 p.m.Sunday, April 16 to 5 a.m., Monday, April 17
DETOUR (shown in green on the map below): Exit NB I-5 at Norwalk Blvd. off-ramp; west on Adoree St., west on Imperial Hwy., west on Firestone Blvd. to NB I-605 on-ramp. Transition from NB I-605 to NB I-5.
Monday Night, April 17
•Two lanes will be closed on southbound I-5 between Florence Avenue and Norwalk Blvd. from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
DETOUR: Not applicable; southbound I-5 will remain open at all times
Wednesday Night, April 19
•Southbound I-5 will be closed from I-605 to Norwalk Blvd., from 11 p.m. Wednesday, April 19 to 5 a.m. Thursday, April 20
DETOUR: SB I-5 traffic will be directed onto SB I-605 and exit at Firestone Blvd., east on Firestone Blvd., east on Imperial Hwy., south on SB Frontage Rd. to access SB I-5 on-ramp.
•Northbound I-605 to Southbound I-5 Connector closed from 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 19 to 5:30 a.m. Thursday, April 20
DETOUR: Exit NB I-605 at Imperial Hwy. off-ramp, east on Imperial Hwy., south on SB Frontage Rd. to access the SB I-5 on-ramp.

DETOUR: Motorists will continue on SB I-605, exit Firestone Blvd. off-ramp, east on Firestone Blvd., east on Imperial Hwy., south on SB Frontage Rd. to access SB I-5 on-ramp.
IMPERIAL HIGHWAY & PIONEER BOULEVARD PROJECT
The contractor will be conducting grading and excavation work adjacent to northbound I-5 near Imperial Highway for approximately the next six to eight weeks. This work will be conducted Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
On Monday night, April 17 crews will be working on northbound I-5. Two lanes on northbound I-5 will be closed from Rosecrans Ave. to Norwalk Blvd., as well as the northbound I-5 Norwalk Blvd. off-ramp, between 10 p.m. Monday, April 17 and 5 a.m. Tuesday, April 18. Please be advised that the northbound I-5 Norwalk Boulevard off-ramp will be closing permanently on Monday, April 24. Motorists may use the Imperial Highway off-ramp from northbound I-5, as an alternate route.
As crews work on Imperial Highway, Norwalk Boulevard and Pioneer Boulevard bridges at I-5, one lane in each direction will be closed on each street (at I-5) during the daytime, between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
ROSECRANS AVENUE & BLOOMFIELD AVENUE BRIDGE PROJECT
Crews have closed N. Firestone Blvd. from Rosecrans Avenue to Bloomfield / Markdale Avenue, for approximately six months. This closure is needed as crews reconstruct N. Firestone Blvd., complete pile driving adjacent to I-5 and complete soundwall construction. The closure area is shown in red on the map below; the detour map is shown in green.
Rosecrans Avenue may be closed to all through traffic (motorists and pedestrians) in both directions underneath I-5, Monday through Fridays between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Nighttime closures on Rosecrans Avenue will continue intermittently for the next six months. All pile driving activity has been completed for the Rosecrans segment of the project.
CARMENITA ROAD INTERCHANGE PROJECT
All work has been completed on the Carmenita Road Interchange project.
VALLEY VIEW AVENUE INTERCHANGE PROJECT
The northbound I-5 on-ramp at Freeway Drive is set to close permanently on Tuesday, April 18. A portable changeable message sign has been placed in the area giving the public two weeks advance notice of the closure. Once this ramp closes, motorists will be detoured to proceed west on Alondra Boulevard, then north on Carmenita Road to access the northbound I-5 on-ramp. Heavy traffic and delays in the area are expected. Motorists are urged to use alternative routes whenever possible; alternate route shown on the map below. The closure area is shown in red on the map below; the detour route is shown in green.
Starting Sunday, April 16 through Thursday, April 20 crews will be performing work in the median island along northbound and southbound I-5 between Artesia Boulevard to Alondra Boulevard. In order to complete this work, there will be partial lane reductions on I-5 and the northbound and southbound I-5 Valley View Avenue on- and off-ramps may be closed nightly between 7:00 p.m. and 5:45 a.m.
Pile driving and shoring activities are ongoing on the south side of Valley View Avenue. This work will be conducted weekdays during the daytime between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Multiple utility relocations are ongoing throughout the construction site. There will be intermittent lane reductions on both N. Firestone Boulevard and S. Firestone Boulevard. Work will be performed Monday through Friday.
A portion of S. Firestone Boulevard at Coyote Creek channel is now closed for utility relocation for a period of four to six months. Work will be conducted weekdays between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. Businesses along Firestone Boulevard will remain open and detour signs will be posted. For detour information visit the project Google map.
