Ogden Dunes Beach is open as of 7 am 4/18/17 
The Ogden Dunes Town Council has announced the re-opening of the Ogden Dunes Beach following the chemical spill reported by USS-Midwest Plant on April 11. Testing continues to show below laboratory reporting values on the chemical hexavalent chromium. The Indiana National Lakeshore has also re-opened their three effected beaches, West Beach, Portage Lakefront and Riverwalk, and Cowles Bog Beach.
