Seeking the public's assistance in identifying an armed robbery suspect.
The Campbell Police Department is currently investigating an armed robbery involving a firearm. We are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
On April 5, 2017 at approximately 6:50pm, an unknown male who identified himself as “Robbie” walked in to the office of Keiser Motors (1169 Dell Avenue, Campbell) asking about a truck that was for sale. The suspect test drove the truck and upon returning to the business walked out to his vehicle to retrieve paperwork.
Upon returning to the office, the suspect had changed his clothing and was wearing a dark pants, a dark colored beanie cap, and a blue zip-up jacket with a blue checker flannel liner. He brandished a black semi-automatic pistol and demanded money from the victim.
The suspect then fled the business in a tan or champagne colored truck southbound on Dell Avenue. The truck was captured on surveillance cameras and a photo is attached to this release.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, 5’10” tall, 150 lbs, with brown hair. He was also described as possibly having a mental disability based on his interaction with the victim. The victim was able to assist in producing a composite sketch of the suspect. Based on the conversation with the victim, it is believed that the suspect may be associated with the Carpenter’s Union.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has any information about the robbery is asked to call our 24-hour dispatch center at (408) 866-2101 or the Investigations Unit at (408) 871-5190.
