The Picnic Day Safety Enhancement Zone will go into effect at 6pm on Friday, April 21 and continue until 6am on Sunday, April 23.

The Safety Enhancement Zone increases fines for certain offenses to deter unlawful behavior. Fines are doubled for violations of open container laws, public urination, smoking and being drunk in public places.

Signs are posted at major access points, as well as at locations within the zone, warning of the enhanced fines for specific offenses.
