While we have not necessarily seen a rash of stolen ATV's recently, we did have two four-wheeler's stolen from different locations over the past weekend. Unfortunately, the owners had not documented the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) of either vehicle. Not having a VIN means that the police department isn't able to enter either vehicle as stolen in the computer database. Consequently, there is little to no chance that either vehicle will ever be recovered and returned to the owner.

Please, take a few minutes to document identifying numbers of those big ticket items that you'd hope would be recovered if stolen from you.
