Ripon Police Sergeant Stephen Meece Named American Legion Law Enforcement Officer Of The Year. 
The American Legion of Ripon, Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Award is presented to a well-rounded law enforcement officer who has exceeded the duty requirements expected of his or her position and has demonstrated a distinct pattern of community service coupled with professional achievement.
Sgt. Stephen Meece received this prestigious award at the American Legion dinner last Saturday night. Upon receipt of this award, Sgt. Meece expressed his gratitude to the Legion for their recognition and for their continued support of the Ripon Police Department.
