Bluffton Police Investigate Alleged Kidnapping

On Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at approximately 1:59 a.m., Bluffton Police were contacted by Allen County, IN, Police and asked to check the welfare of an Allen County resident who worked at a Bluffton facility. Bluffton Police learned that the female employee was last seen on break outside the facility at approximately 10:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 25. Further investigation revealed that the female was seen interacting with a person in a vehicle, and that vehicle was later seen leaving the facility in a hastily manner with no headlights and the passenger door open. Bluffton Police placed a request for an emergency locate on the female's cell phone and learned its current position was in Akron, OH. Akron Police located the female who claimed she was taken against her will by her husband from her workplace in Bluffton. At our request, Akron Police took Sar Doh, male, 20 years old, of Fort Wayne, IN, into custody. Bluffton Police are currently working with the Wells County Prosecutors Office to seek criminal charges of Kidnapping, Criminal Confinement and Theft against Mr. Doh and to have him extradited back to Indiana. The matter is still under investigation.

The charges against Mr. Doh are merely accusations and he is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
