The Angels Camp Police Department will be providing assistance with traffic control for the first annual "Walk to School Day" event that Mark Twain Elementary School is hosting. The event is on May 10th, 2017, and there will be a large number of students, parents, school staff and volunteers that will be walking from Gateway Park in Greenhorn Creek, to Tuolumne Avenue and up Tuolumne Avenue to the school. Please be aware of the pedestrian traffic on the roadway, and plan accordingly as there will be road closures on the south end of Amador and Alpine Avenues, where they intersect with Tuolumne Avenue. The closures will be brief and temporary, between approximately 7:30 AM and 8 AM.
