Full Notification

A teenage girl in the Stone Ridge subdivision felt concerned when she noticed a white van with an unfamiliar male driver in her neighborhood. She followed the Stranger Danger method and immediately reported the vehicle to us along with another vehicle. Our officers responded and spoke with the teenager and her mother, and confirmed that neither driver had any contact with the girl. The white van was not located, and the officers determined that second vehicle was a resident of the neighborhood. The teenager is to be commended for being an alert citizen however there is no indication at this time of any intent to entice a child. There have been no other similar reports in that area however we have increased patrols. Please never hesitate to report suspicious activity as soon as possible. We are always happy to respond.
