for the following river in Kansas...
Verdigris River At Independence affecting Montgomery and Wilson
Counties.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two
feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around don't drown.

* Flood Warning for
The Verdigris River At Independence.
* From early this morning until Monday afternoon.
* At 1:00 AM Sunday the stage was 30.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 30.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 32.7 feet by this
afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage early Monday
morning.
