Woodway Bank Scam Arrest

On April 6, 2017 detectives from Woodway PSD and agents from the FBI arrested Oladapo Fasan, 34, at his residence in Richardson, TX on federal charges for his alleged involvement in defrauding BBVA Compass Bank, 9103 Woodway Dr., Woodway.
On January 10, 2017 Woodway PSD received a report from Compass Bank involving an alleged fraudulent loan. Compass Bank reported that in late December, 2016 the suspect had used personal information from a victim residing in Florida with fictitious identification documents to complete a home equity loan in excess of $85,000.
The suspect allegedly withdrew the full amount of the loan over the course of two days. The investigation led detectives to the north Dallas area where Oladapo Fasan was identified as a suspect. Woodway PSD worked with the San Antonio FBI, Waco Residency Agency Office, in pursuing federal charges against Mr. Fasan.
A federal arrest warrant was obtained and Mr. Fasan was taken into custody without incident. Mr. Fasan remains in federal custody and has been transferred back to Waco.
