Six Mile & Coyle –Traffic Stop resulted in discovery of outstanding warrant, driver/suspect turned over to Canton Police

300 Block of Opal - Patrol officers advised

Six Mile & Whitmore Lake Rd – 18 Ft Black Flatbed Trailer was taken without permission , No witnesses, No suspects

9000 Block of Timbercrest Lane – personal clothing stolen- suspect identified & property recovered – No prosecution desired by the victim
04/13/17 *Suspicious Situation –Attempt Telephone Fraud
500 Block of Amethyst – Caller attempted to convince phone recipient to pick up Ace hardware Gift Cards at Walmart and load money on the cards. Complainant contacted NTPD and was advised to Block her telephone number, and ignore the caller.

700 Block 6 mile Rd – personal property stolen from residence between 1000am & 1pm
Victim had some work done in the home and then noticed property missing, the incident remains under investigation
014/15/2017 *Malicious Destruction of Property
1000 Block of 6 Mile Rd –Links at Whitmore- disorderly golfers damaged a few putting greens and golf cart, possible suspects identified - Case remains under investigation
04/20/2017 *Liquor Violation Open Intoxicants in a Motor Vehicle
U.S 23 & 8 Mile Rd – Traffic violation resulted in discovery of open alcohol -Driver issued misdemeanor citation

Northfield Township Library –Suspect identified and issued Trespass warning - Investigation continues
04/25/2017 *Malicious Destruction of Property
300 Block of W. Northfield Church - Resident discovered burn damage to their mail & mail receptacle, no witnesses or suspects
04/28/2017 *Larceny from Building
7600 Edmund Ave – Tools & Lawn equipment were removed from a closed garage, No witnesses & No suspects
CRIME TIP:
Telephone Crime Scams are daily occurrences, the latest one may ask “Can you hear me” because they want you to say the word “yes , then they can use your affirmative comment fraudulently. Do not respond to such calls, just hang up.
Joining the Do Not Call Registry (DoNotCall.gov) through the Federal Trade Commission will cut down on telemarketing and sales calls. It will not stop scammers, but fewer calls can help you identify the “Scam” phone call.
