Lomita Sheriff's Deputies Conclude Search For Car Theft Suspects
Last night at approximately 9:00 pm, Lomita Sheriff’s deputies responded to a hit and run traffic collision in the vicinity of Calle Aventura and Tarapaca Road in Rancho Palos Verdes. A male and female fled on foot, after the vehicle they were driving, a 2016 Acura, collided with a parked car. Further investigation revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen in Torrance earlier in the day.
It was believed the duo fled into Friendship Park. A large area was searched with a Sheriff’s helicopter assisting ground units. The hour long search was discontinued when the suspects were not located.
