A rural Angola man has been arrested in connection with a Steuben County Sheriff’s Office investigations into allegations of child molesting. On 05/02/2017 just before 12:00 pm, Sheriff’s detectives responded to Cameron Hospital on a report of a sexual assault of a child that allegedly occurred the previous evening in the 3300 block of South Old US 27 in Steuben County’s rural Steuben Township. Through investigative efforts, a suspect was identified by Sheriff’s detectives and brought into the Sheriff’s Office on 05/03/2017 for questioning. Following an interview with Sheriff’s detectives and the execution of a search warrant, 19 year old Samuel L. Lambright of rural Angola was taken into custody just after 7:00 pm. Lambright was booked into the Steuben County Jail on one count of level 3 felony child molesting and one count of level 4 felony child molesting. Lambright remains held without bond pending an initial court appearance. The case still remains under investigation. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Indiana Department of Child Services and the Fort Wayne Sexual Assault Treatment Center.
