Fatal Shooting
On Wednesday May 3rd, 2017 at approximately 1130 AM the Gardena Police Department received a call of gunshots fired in the 2700 block of 141st Place, City of Gardena, California. Upon arrival, Officers located one male victim who was struck multiple times by gunfire.
A preliminary investigation revealed the victim was shot while in the south alley of 141st Place. Witnesses said they heard male voices arguing prior to the gunfire. The LA County Fire Department arrived to the location to administer first aid. The victim, later identified as Demetrious Thomas, 28 years old of Hawthorne, CA was pronounced deceased at the scene.
