Fatal Shooting
On Tuesday May 2nd , 2017 at approximately 7:19 PM, the Gardena Police Department received a call of gunshots fired near the 1200 block of 141st Place, City of Gardena, California. Upon arrival, Officers located three male adult victims who were struck by gunfire.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a Pontiac sedan was seen driving west on 141st Place. The driver of the vehicle began shooting at several victims who were standing on the steps in front of a condominium complex. The Pontiac sedan fled west on 141st Place towards Normandie Ave. All of the three injured victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment. One of the victims, Hollis David Lainer, 29 years old of Gardena, succumbed to his injuries.
