Waking Windows Festival Road Closures & Parking Info
The City of Winooski is proud to host the Waking Windows festival, now in its 7th year of celebration! We welcome our friends, neighbors, and visitors to enjoy this Winooski tradition with us all weekend from 5/5/17 – 5/7/17.
The City of Winooski is planning for a combination of road closures and heavy pedestrian traffic in Downtown Winooski during the Waking Windows festival this year between Friday 5/5/17 and Sunday 5/7/17 – we ask all motorists, pedestrians, and participants to use extreme caution during the festival. Volunteer crossing guards provided by Waking Windows staff will be available to assist pedestrians in and out of the north and south entrances of Rotary Park – we ask pedestrians to use the crosswalks in and out of this area. Additionally, GMT bus routes that travel through Winooski will be detoured, please visit www.ridegmt.com for an updated route schedule.
Starting at 5 pm on Friday, May 5th 2017 the City of Winooski will be offering free parking in the Winooski Parking Garage (located on Cascade Way in Downtown Winooski) for the entire Waking Windows festival (until Monday morning on May 8th 2017). On-street parking is not free and will be available by paid kiosk only.
If you do plan on paying for street parking, we recommend you use the WayToPark app (https://waytopark.com) on your mobile device.
