The intersection of S. Arlington St. & E. Exchange St. will be CLOSED beginning May 8th, for approximately 4 weeks.
H.M. Miller, H.R. Gray and the City of Akron will be closing the intersection of S. Arlington St. and E. Exchange Street for a continuing sewer separation project in the area. This is currently planned to begin on Monday, May 8, 2017, and is expected to last approximately four weeks.
North and west bound traffic will be detoured using S. Case Ave., E. Market St., S. Arlington St. and E. Exchange St. East; south bound traffic will be detoured using E. Exchange St., Beaver St., Carroll St., E. Market St., S. Case Ave. and S. Arlington St. Because of this closure, left turns for west bound traffic on E. Market St. at S. Arlington St. is being allowed for the detours, but once the intersection of E. Exchange St. and S. Arlington St. is fully re-opened to traffic, left turns will no longer be permitted at this location. Access will continue to be maintained for the local businesses during this closure. Please remember to drive safely and to obey all road construction signs.
This closure is currently planned to last approximately 4 weeks, but it may be extended depending on the weather.
